I Learned to Live Half Alive

No Frontier

I just got home last night, and it's amazing, the feelings to be around Mama and the rest of the families, it's of no comparison, at all.

But deep inside when I'm alone in my room late at night, apart from being online without any purpose, I do miss them girls. Like, i really really really miss them. It's crazy, huh? I just left uni yesterday and yet I'm having the strongest feeling ever.

And to admit, I'm sad. We're graduating soon, and these girls have always been my strength when Mom was miles away though just a phone call away. But they are who I'd turn to for immediate relief of sorrow. They are the instant source of happiness, always.

Through the trees I will find you. Take my breath as your own, take my eyes to guide you home, 'cause I love you so. *hugsss*

I edited myself, as if I'm wearing hijab and inner, macam takde gambar lain kan but so what I love this shot and our happy faces <3

Kids

Rindu budak belah kanan. Dia baru masuk school, mak dia bekalkan minyak Yu Yee Cap Limau (in case dia sakit perut ke, teacher boleh letakkan kat perut dia). But what he did instead, dia pegi lumur minyak tu kat semua budak dalam class dia. Teacher called his Mom bagitau satu kelas dah bau minyak Yu Yee Cap Limau. Hahahhaha. Teruk ah lu Daniel.

Say Yay to Rays

Funny when one time, you were shattered that you would do anything to hurt yourself and to one extent you would love to have someone stab you in the chest so that you'd die in misery, and at another time, you are grateful for still breathing and thankful that you can still feel the butterflies in your stomach when your phone beeps.

Funny much. Don't lose hope. Who is in the better position to change your orientation other than yourself? Nobody.

Thank you Allah, for allowing the sun to shine on me even when the rain's pouring like mad hell :)

Pegang case & highlighter tak bermaksud aku nak baca. Aku bergaya sahaja.

Ini tweet aku tadi. Sebab instead of baca cases, aku pegi bantai main internet, tak main FB, tapi aku ber-tweet sakan dengan kawan aku Izzati Mohd yang duduk sebelah aku ni je hah. Aku yang gila ke dia?

Sekali aku sebut perkataan keramat McD, jadi tak keruan semua orang mencelaka-kan aku sebab trigger benda-benda best disaat hidup dibelenggu kebosanan macam sekarang ni.

Bila aku SMS kawan aku Farrah Shida, dia cakap dia terbayang Kuala Perlis.

Lagi melampau woi, tu seafood, tu real food weh, lagi durjana tahap kesedapannya. Ketam berempah, sotong goreng tepung, ikan bakar bagai, McD mampu bagi aku semua tu? Non adoooo.

Maka, aku nak bersiap sekarang. Pegi McD je. Kuala Perlis tu nanti aku fikirkan macam mana.

Adios amigos berambos :D

Taman Rahsia

Sebenarnya kejadian ini dah berlanjutan selama beberapa hari, cuma pagi tadi kemuncak segalanya beraksi, aku tak tahan lagi sampai aku buat apa yang aku buat.

Apa aku buat? Bagus soalan kalian.

Aku picit jerawat, yang dah masak ranum ibarat epal merah, tunggu masa nak meletus ibarat sebijik volcano meludahkan lavanya dan menjahanamkan tanaman di sekelilingnya.

Lepas tu aku pegi kelas, kawan tegur, kenapa mulut aku bengkak?

Kelakar. Kawan tak bersimpati langsung, malah ketawakan aku lagi ada la.

So balik dari kelas, aku nekad nak cari ubat jerawat. Aku ambush Watsons, aku tanya kakak tu, ubat jerawat apa paling mujarab. Akak tu cakap Secret Garden. Aku was-was pada mulanya.

-_____-  Soalannn.. Tak relevan tau, kalau ikut Dr. Hilal (abaikan siapa Dr. Hilal, dia hanya watak sampingan).

Lepas aku balik, aku terus sapu ubat tu. Cuba teka apa jadi?

Aku bangga jadi anak watan Malaysia!

Upgrade

To all airline providers in Malaysia, could you please upgrade your services and provide return flights from Alor Setar - Terengganu, pretty pleaseeeeeeeee? :(

I have cousin's wedding to attend on 16th April, which unfortunately overlaps with my batch's Farewell Party.

Problem is ; I have booked my return flights from Alor Setar - KL. (Cousin's wedding on our side will be held in KL)

So my only solution that I could think of at this precise stressful moment is, that, I will not go back to KL but instead, I will attend the wedding on the bride's side which is in Terengganu. My return tickets will be burnt then. Burn baby burn.

Another problem is ; There's no direct flight from Alor Setar to Terengganu and if I were to go to Terengganu, I have to go there by bus, which I'm not used to (padahal sama je ngan balik KL naik bas asal kau gedik sangat Farrah??). And it will take me almost 8 hours to travel by bus, if I don't miscalculate.

What should I do then? What what whatt? Not to attend both event? Bodohnya kalau macam tu.

Stressed out lah macam ni. Dah la assignment tak start buat lagi hari Ahad nak submit kot, nak tunggu apa lagi? Nak tunggu lecturer lajak due date lagi?

**Cuba bayangkan tengah stress macam ni, skali tiba-tiba datang seorang makhluk Allah, nanyi lagu Rebecca Black depan kau,

Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
Today i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)
We-we-we so excited
We so excited
We gonna have a ball today

Sumpah aku lepuk sampai bengkak mulut dia macam mulut aku siang tadi bengkak sebab jerawat. Biar bernanah bibir kau, hambek.**

My teacher pointed at me with his ruler and said:"At the end of this ruler is an idiot!!" I got detention after I asked him which end he was referring to.

Ok bye!

Thank you.

Life's Battle : Move to Live

I have to say that it's been a shitty day and, urmm, life threw shits on me today? Hahahah. Tak baik la say like that, Farrah.

Okay lah I'll put it this way, or should I say, I'd rather put it this way.

In life, there are certainly ups and downs. I bet you've heard of this too many times in your life you apparently will vomit once you read this : Life is like a roller-coaster. C'mon, since kindergarten (I'm actually exaggerating) , teachers and parents have been forcing you to believe the equivocal phrase you were yet to understand at that time.

Once you got into high school, you'll start to understand what it means. Bitchy friends, bad guy friends, not so understanding teachers, nagging parents, examination results that were not up to scratch, and other life's dramas you just had to face up till you further your studies in uni or college, you gradually are absorbing the meaning of the cliche yet accurate saying.

So today, something smacked me right in the face, and in the ass, also, it struck straight through my unproductive and unprepared brain. I was taken aback by something I should have prepared myself against. Should have put up a better shield. Should have built a better fort. Should have seen the enemies coming from every possible entrance.

Should have done better, and react better.

But after all I am a human with poor composition to prevent myself from any difficulties life has to offer. I made mistakes, always, with hopes to learn from them.

But in life, you can't always draw a tree exactly like the real one. It will vary, even slightly. What you can do is to try your best to make it look close to real, putting in every effort you can.

And in life, I suppose, you can't have everything in life in accordance to your wants and needs. Allah will not grant you precisely everything you asked for. You ask for a lemon, He'll give you coconut instead, for instance. But what you can do with the coconut is not to throw it away nor should you hold a grudge towards Him for not giving you a lemon, but instead, you can make the best out of the coconut because for all you know, the coconut might tastes better than the lemon. And that's the sweetness of life you'll not see with your naked eyes, but for you to feel beyond your reasonable heart.

As of today, I learnt that I should let go off things that got me tied up in a huge snowball of miseries and I've to get up, stand up high and hold tight to my faith and beliefs, that for each occurrence in my life, be it good or bad, there stand thousand of reasons behind it. And whatever reason it may be, I have to put my trust in God that He has the best plan for each slave of Him, not excluding me, never will He exclude me.

There comes a time in life when you have to let go the pointless drama and the people who create it, and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.

Allah (God) is with the broken-hearted. When your heart breaks, it's a good thing - the breaking of the heart is what opens it up to the light of Allah. The dunya (life) is designed to break your heart, to crush it
-Shaykh Hamza Yusuf

Thanks for telling me that I deserve better, that I can make it, that I'm 23 and should live life to the fullest. Thank you for saving me today, Marines! Love you to pieces :)

Let's Go Chopping!

How are you? Welcome to Malaysia. Lady gentleman, lady gentleman. How do you do? I am very glad. Happy to see you. Welcome welcome to you, what can I do for you?

Welcome to Malaysia. Happy is in your hand, happy is in your hand.

Women and men say oh darling. Let's go let's go chopping.

Perempuan biadap. Menjatuhkan saham negara. Kasi pelancong lagi lari. Hahahhahahahaha

10 Tips on How to be a Successful Wife

1.) Use your 'Fitnah' (beauty & overtures of allurement) to win the heart of your husband.

  • All women have the ornaments that Allah blessed them with. Use the beauty Allah SWT has bestowed you with to win the heart of your husband.
  • Dress up for your husband at home. Wear the colours and clothes that he likes to see you in and use makeup, perfume and jewellery.
  • From the early years, little girls have adorned themselves with earrings and bracelets & worn pretty dresses, as described in the Qur'an.
  • Continue this tradition as a wife. In short, whatever it takes to be attractive to him.
2.) Be sensitive to his moods, feelings and needs. For example, don’t start complaining or burden him with problems as soon as he comes home
  • Rather, welcome him and make him feel good to be home. Imagine your husband coming home to a clean house, an exquisitely dressed wife, a dinner prepared with care, children clean and sweet smelling, a clean bedroom - what would this do to his love for you?
3.) Review the characteristics of the Hoor Al-Ayn (women of jannah), and try to imitate them.
  • The Qur'an and Sunnah describe the women in jannah with certain characteristics.
  • Such as the silk they wear, their large dark eyes, etc. Try it, wear silk for your husband, put Kohl in your eyes to 'enlarge' them.
4.) Do things together or at least allocate some time of the day to give him your undivided attention.
  • Be sincere in appreciating him, show interest in his day, his activities, thoughts and opinions. Give him advice and comfort him when needed.
  • Spend his money carefully and try to keep him informed of where money is being spent. Dont spend large amounts of money without permission.
  • Show caring and concern for his relatives as this is a sure way of securing a place in his heart.
  • Never object when he spends on them, as this is a source of abundance in provision and increase in life span.
5.) Joke and play games with your husband. A man's secret: they seek women who are light-hearted and have a sense of humour.
  • As Rasulullah SAW told Jabir to marry someone who would make him laugh and he would make her laugh.
  • Be cheerful and humorous, smile often, don’t feel shy to be affectionate with your husband and make him feel really happy to be around you.
  • Express your love frequently and creatively, rather than waiting for him to do so first.
6.) Be grateful to your husband. Remind yourself that it’s a tough world out there and your husband works very hard to provide for you.
  • So whatever you do, don’t compare him to other men, unless it is favourably. Thank your husband constantly for the nice things he does.
  • Let him know that you appreciate his efforts, not just through your words, but also your actions.
  • This is one of the most important techniques, as the opposite is a characteristic of the women of hellfire.
7.) Don’t fly into a rage when you have a difference of opinion or he criticizes you.
  • Stay calm, control your tongue and don’t challenge your husband’s authority at that time.
  • Use your wisdom, tactics and powers of persuasion later to try to explain your point of view.
  • Believe the best not the worst of him. Be forgiving & accept apologies graciously rather than holding grudges and bringing up past mistakes.
  • An argument is a fire in the house. Extinguish it with a simple 'I'm sorry' even if it is not your fault.
  • When you fight back, you are only adding wood to the fire. Watch how sweetly an argument will end when you just say sincerely, "I'm sorry".
8.) Always seek to please your husband, for he is your key to jannah.
  • Rasulullah SAW taught us that any women who dies in a state where her husband is pleased with her, shall enter jannah. So please him.
  • Simple things like the foods he likes, remembering that variety is the spice of life. Try to eat together as this fosters companionship.
9.) Listen and do what he asks you. Obeying your husband is fard (obligatory).
  • Remember that your husband is the head of the family and as long as obedience to him does not entail any sin, it is your duty to obey him.
  • Show respect for your husband by not divulging your private and confidential issues to others.
  • Do not complain about him to people or discuss your small marital problems and issues with those who cannot help you.
10.) Make dua to Allah SWT to make your marriage and relationship successful. All good things are from Allah.
  • Never forget to ask Allah SWT for the blessing of having a successful marriage that begins in this dunya and continues on into jannah. Ameen
  • May Allah SWT give us the favour of changing what we can change (like ourselves) and patience with what we cannot change (like our spouse), and the wisdom to understand the difference.

Note to Self

When things are meant to happen, they just happened.

With or without reason.

But words, they don't simply slip off your mouth. They should not. For you'll regret certain things you have just said to the wrong person at the wrong time.

What a bummer. So, think before you speak.

3 + 1

So what happened when three girls were so random that they risked their pocket and had a night in Penang? Plus, a guy who was kind enough to treat the girls with good meals :) The night we arrived, after being overloaded with tandoori masala from Jewel of the North (siap mintak nasi tambah bagai), we went to Hard Rock just to let two souls to have their first time experiences in HRC heheee.

Dia ni lah first time gi HRC. Dia jugak yang blanje makan kat JOTN. Dia kaya tapi dah berpunya.

One of the Chinese ladies sang Tiada Lagi, sumpah best.

The next day :

Discovery of a new beautiful mosque that we've never been to - Masjid Kapitan Keling.

Ini gambar self-promotion woy, sila tunjuk kat mak-mak korang in case berkenan ke teheee

And a successful re-discovery of Restoran Kapitan. A friend of mine used to bring us to dine here 3 years back.

Kapitan : World Class Naan Bread and Briyani.

No doubt. And I'm effing serious when I say no doubt. They got the best tandoori with the perfect match with a superbly blended peppermint and sweet sauce and coleslaw, and, it's finger lickin' good y'all! Biar gaya selekeh, janji perut puas haha.

Tok Moh

Persoalannya : Siapakah?

Kapitan

Random trip to Penang, again. Much more random than the very first random trip we had. But this time, just the 3 of us, having so much fun travelling to the Island, discovered a new place to eat, new mosque to pray, traveled on new routes, slept in a budget hotel we never thought we would ever check into, lepak Hard Rock just to listen to few songs and surprisingly the Chinese lady can sing Amy Search's Tiada Lagi very beautifully, and got us high singing along with her when the rest of the crowds did not.

Being absolutely unprepared for a one and a half days trip, we bought disposables and deodorant spray. Lucky enough that my friend just bought a tooth paste beforehand, and lucky enough that I met Dad prior to our journey, and Mom did kirim some t-shirts and under-garments, and I managed to pow Dad few things at the pharmacy :D

All I can say is, I wouldn't mind to pay for tolls and fuels just to have another round of Kapitan. Too good to even waste a single crust.

Walk in the Wonderland

I promised to update on what happened in wonderland, didn't I? Though that event took place like, two weeks back, and I've lost the interest to blog about it, but I will try. *sigh*

We were half-an-hour-fashionably-late that night, where we were forced to stand outside the ballroom and we have to wait until the VIPs started to have their meals. So there we stood, waited eagerly to go inside and see what's happening.

While waiting outside, camwhore is the least you can do :)

Almost half an hour of waiting, I reckon, we can finally go inside and hunt for our table. There it was, right next to the VIPs' table and right in front of the stage. Diva sangat la tu meja paling depan skali? We walked in with our photographer, who did his job too well that night. Kudos to you, Azril, for capturing each moment faultlessly!

Well to be frank enough, the service wasn't that pleasing since our meals were served not in a consistent manner, and the waiter and waitress were literally dumb. They expected us to get our own rice, to roll our sleeves and put aside the used plates on the nearby table which is situated in the middle of the guests' tables provided to plunk platters. Who the heck place such table in the middle of everything? Shouldn't it be placed at any one corner of the hall so that it would not be much of a distractions to everyone else sitting at the back? Duhh.

There were several performances throughout the formal part of the dinner when the VIPs were still around, one of it being a choir performance by our juniors, I could not remember what song they sang but it surely does touch my heart for the song was dedicated to us final semester students =') Thank you so much :) You guys were so comel :)

Anyway, dinner wasn't that dreary after all if you have someone to take photos of you and friends, endlessly teheee. We stroke some poses instead of enjoying the meal cause not only the service was not too fulfilling but the food too wasn't. But I love the soup with buttered bread inside, that was nice.

What thou shalt not do during a formal dinner :D

And not long after the meals were being served, the VIPs left, and it's time for the informal part of our dinner. We knew already that we will be watching our batch video comprising of everybody holding a paper, signifying their own traits. Mine was this :

I'd loveee to share the video here, but don't know how :( But if you are able to have a look at this link, this is how the video looked like. Click here. Sorry if it does not work but I do not speak the language of technology quite fluent :D

And here are some expressions you can see as the batch video is being shown :

So while others were performing, we were busy taking photos with every possible soul we could. While we were at the back of the hall, busy doing what we were doing, I heard my name was called. I knew they were giving our Most Favourite Senior awards, Best Dressed and such things, but I absolutely have no idea why my name was called and I was plain blur but walked to the stage anyway.

Oh guess what award was given to me?

The Prom Queen. Hahahahha. I don't know why prom, but I knew by then I was the Queen for that night :D

I was trembling the whole time on stage! Malu heheee

Anddddd this was when my joyahness became too obvious for the crowd to see -___- My tiara was about to fall, hence the expression.

Thank youuuuuuu to those who voted for me, I don't know why the heck on Earth I was chosen and who the heck voted for me hahahaha thank you thank you :))

Anddd the best part was when the guys from my batch got on the stage and sang rock kapak songs :)) Sejati by Wings, I Wanna Hold Your Hands by Beetles, and another rock kapak song I could not remember. What we did was we printed out the lyrics beforehand and when the guys got on the stage, I suggested that everybody got on the stage, so everybody did and the stage was filled with us, lucky it does not crash :D

And other photos of that night :))

And the girls' group camwhore :

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, BATCH PHOTO :)))))))))

Everybody says LAPANNNN :D

"Don't want to leave, but we both know sometimes it's better to go. Somehow I know we'll meet again, not sure quite where and I don't know just when you're in my heart, so until then, smile, don't want to cry saying goodbye."

-The Muppets =')
