Fit, Flop & Fly

So what happened today was I went to court with Mad and straightaway to KLCC. En route, he told me "Harini I yang decide semua! Makan mana nak pegi mana buat apa semua I yang decide. Jangan argue!". That really got on my nerves, I asked him since when did I argue where and what to eat and whatnots. And he rephrased. Restatement accepted.

Upon arrival, he told me that he wanted to look for something at Parkson. I rarely go to Parkson but hey, I've been warned not to argue, yes? Yes. So I became SYMP (Saya Yang Menurut Perintah) and followed him to what floor entah, and to Fitflop. He asked me which one I like. I just showed him which one and he asked to try and see which size fits me well. I said what for, not that I wanna buy one. He insisted, and I started to sense a doubtable act here. Now, got the size and yes, he wanna buy one for me. Haishhh this dude kann always like this. Tiba-tiba this, tiba-tiba that. So we bought the above good pair of sandal and headed to have lunch.

The thing is, no wonder last Sunday he kind of belittled (he won't admit this though) my worn out Topshop sandal which used to be one of the greatest and which have rendered good service for years during my uni days, by asking (full of skepticism), "Kenapa you pakai selipar tu?". That was really OUCH, I tell ya :(

And on our way to KLCC, he kept asking and insisted an answer on why I love to wear flats, sandals with flat sole, and why not a sandal with thick sole yadda yadda. Turned out to be he wanted to buy me one =')

Welllll, here's to you Mr-Surprises-Always-Tak-Jadi : Thank you and I love you.

I'm off to makan Rojak Kassim specially bought by Ayah from Seremban! Assalamu'alaikum.

Malam

( 5 - 7 )

On the contrary,

( 8 - 10 )

Surah Al-Lail

Rather simple, yes?

E-Day : The Preliminary Stage

I constantly keep changing my ideas and decisions on what to wear, what color, what design, what this and what that. I literally mean constant change.

I fell in love with one photo of a woman wearing a kaftan on her engagement which somehow inspired me. I've always wanted to wear something minimal. I have warned myself, Mama and whoever that I never want my engagement dress to be the one which is embellished with heavy beadings. NO. Dalam kes ni tak perlu jadi pokok krismas bergerak.

Went to my favourite place to shop for traditional outfits today and looked for a kaftan, and tried on a few with totally different hues - which finally has drawn me in choosing a color which is way different than the one I initially wanted which is dusty purple.

Bought my engagement dress, and as well as a dress (also a kaftan) in off-white, meant to be worn during Majlis Khatam Qur'an after my solemnisation, which is to be held, urmm, next year Insha Allah. Lambat lagi, I know, but Mama liked the dress too much she decided to just buy it straight away. Anything would do, so as long as I have something to wear on that day.

Getting overly excited to match Mad's baju with mine, Mama bought a matching samping and kain baju Melayu. So, outfit wise, we're done. Alhamdulillah.

There are many other things that need to be managed. I am (still) in the midst of browsing through, scouting for ideas and wild inspirations scattered here and there and the hardest part would be to gather everything, and decide. I've always been indecisive. Always. But this time around I've no choice but to make up my mind with the help from others but the final call would have to be made by yours truly. Susah.

Wina suggested that I get a mood board, so just to keep ideas alive. Might take that into consideration but knowing myself, I'm terrified with the thought that if at the end of the day, the board will have... Nothing on it.. I'll resume working on June 4th and afraid that abandonment will occur in this case as a matter of fact. But we'll see. Something for me to consider, at least.

Well, Alhamdulillah everything has been running smoothly thus far. On both sides of mine and his. At the end of the day, they're all from Allah. Rizq, good health, time, everything. Alhamdulillah for EVERYTHING.

Good night.

Assalamu'alaikum.

An Advocate & Solicitor

Alhamdulillah, there are no words that can ever portray how I'm feeling now that everything has settled. Call Day was joyous - Smiles on everyone's face. Though Abang, Kakyin, Wan and Arwah Atok were all not at Ipoh last Friday but I know they're proud of me. Mama said she could imagine how proud Arwah Atok will be if he's still around, to know that his granddaughter is now a lawyer =')

My speech was the only one in English. I regretted it, should have done it in Malay so that I can be more dramatic. Lagipun Mover baca speech slow, tak berapa dengar but tak kesah la. What's important is at the end of the speech, after both representatives from AG Chambers and Perak Bar indicated that they have no objections, and after Yang Arif pronounced "Perintah Seperti Dipohon", I was relieved. Ayah put on the robe on me but lupa nak salam. Sheeshhh. Anyway, the day was extra special with the presence of someone :)

This is for Ayah, Mama, and everyone. This is for Arwah Atok. This is for me. This is for the future. This is for us. For Hafsah. Insha Allah. :)

Thank You, Allah. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

Arrived in Ipoh on Thursday, distributed the invitation cards for the reception which is to follow after the ceremony, had Nasi Ganja with Muhammad, anddddd the awesome Caramel Custard from Yong Suan. Goddammmmittt sedap gila Ya Allah. Long Call was on the next day, on an auspicious Friday. We had to go back straightaway after the reception for some reasons.

Mad drove all the way back, through rain and sunshine. Yours truly tidur mulut ternganga kat belakang. Sampai KL singgah rumah sister-in-law and then rumah Aunty to meet Wan. Mad was being dragged along, I prayed that he wouldn't feel so awkward, and he did well, Alhamdulillah :) As if dah ready je cheyyyy. Thanks Mad, for being the ever loyal driver. I owe you big time, sweetheart. (geli dengan diri sendiri)

Well, what I've learnt so far is to know how to unveil the happiness within. Everything is beautiful so as long as we know how to appreciate the beauty of life, not only the beauty but also the flaws life has to offer. In life, you can't satisfy everyone, but you certainly can make everyone proud of you. I've done it halfway, there are more to go and plenty more to be done. Throughout the journey, I pray for Allah's blessings, and Insha Allah I'll make it through.

Thank you, to each soul that has been so loyal. I could not thank everyone enough through my Long Call Speech nor this blog. Not even by words of mouth. Jazakallah Khayran. May Allah bless each one of you and reward you accordingly Insha Allah.

Assalamu'alaikum :)

Purely Bold

He wanted to come over to take me out to dinner, or more like me teman-ing him to have chicken chop that he's been craving for since last week. Arrived late due to awful traffic on MRR2. Fetched me and not even halfway, he stopped the car and asked me to help to get his bag from the car's bonnet. I just do as asked. I opened it, saw his bag and a small wrapped box nicely put next to it. I ignored the box and get the bag and gave it to him. He asked me why didn't I take the small wrapped box? So I went to get it, and got into the car again.

He took the box and told me that that was a present for me for my Long Call, and it wasn't an iPhone, for if it is, the box would have been smaller. *indirectly he has already kantoi-ed himself that it is a phone*

I was already like what theeeeeeee.

Then he went on to say that he could not afford to buy an iPhone, so this is all he could afford and he hoped that I will like it.

I opened the present and it is a phone. White Bold 2. I cried weh. I literally cried. Malu.

He said that I can use it for work, etc. Eleh sebenarnya dia rindu nak WhatsApp hehhh.

And I cried and cried and stopped crying, and started to get all excited for sorta getting my life back. Lepas tu mula jakun, download WhatsApp, set-up email, download BBM, UberSocial etc. And I just couldn't stop smiling and I am grateful for the present, and for you. Alhamdulillah :)

Hello, baby :)

This means, hello Twidderrrr etc.

P.S. ILYSM :)

**By the way what happened to my old Torch was that I accidentally rendam my phone in a baldi filled with water and sabun basuh baju cap Downy. Ohsem sangat, rendam selama hampir lebih 15 minit maka ia dah jahanam.**

The List

Bye!

Merry May

Erna is now a wife! :)) May her marriage with Jay Fadaak (masih takboleh nak digest ke-awkward-an apabila menyebut nama ini. Jadi mari kita panggil Jay sahaja) will be blessed till Jannah. :D Baidewei Erna ni penyanyi ok walaupun tak setanding Rozita Che Wan.

Anywayyy. Was asked to wear red, so I wore red. Nasib baik Putrajaya takdak lembu mengamuk kejar kami sekumpulan.

Bila Jaja dah buat perangai, aku malas nak kata apa dah.

AND

Hello! My favourite photo of all :) Introducing, MFF.

Ok dah. Again, congrats, ERNA & JAY! :))
