Almost

I miss blogging. I miss pouring out all my crappy words here. All I've been doing is vetting thru documents, sending emails with almost perfect grammar (though sometimes I will stare at the laptop screen fikir ayat ni macam salah but did not bother to check further so I just send it anyway).

Nak cakap merapik pun dengan Wen Yee je. But she's leaving soon, in 3 days. Nanti dah takde kawan yang pagi-pagi bising "Eyyy I like your baju. Jom buat air." atau "Eww what is this that you're wearing??". Takde kena mengena baju cantik/buruk dengan ajak buat air but we're always random like that.

Takde orang lagi yang nak "Ayo kak, don't bother la. They are always like that one." - Those are among the good nasihat I've always received from her bila timbul masalah, sampai la masalah tu tenggelam.

Takde lagi orang yang "Aiya I don't care la. Let's go." - She's always selamber like that. Sebab tu la aku terikut-ikut perangai I-don't-care dia tu. Tu yang Jumaat lepas selamber (for the second time I typed this word, rasa macam this is not the correct spelling. Is this how we spell selamber? Or slumber?) teman Mad beli handbag (Pelik ke Cik Senah. Ye, saya teman Muhammad beli handbag, not the other way round) keluar office 12.45PM, balik office dekat pukul 4PM. #likeaboss sangat.. Dengar cerita memang aku dah kena lantik jadi Partner kat firm tu pun, with immediate effect.

Takde lagi orang yang nak "It's ok la kak. Shit happens." - Tu bila gelabah salah buat kerja, atau gelabah bila client dah sampai office 9AM tapi 9AM tu kau dalam train lagi (that happened this morning), atau gelabah bila ada rumors pasal kau sedang meliar berterbangan dalam office, atau apa saja.

Takde lagi gang kena marah dengan boss, and she will say "Whatever la kak. We sure kena one." - Tu aura positive untuk sedapkan hati yang hidup ni memang kita akan kena marah dengan superior, and those are the things that we have to endure. Most importantly, walk out of boss' room after kena marah with determination that you're not gonna repeat the same silly (or we call it too clever) mistakes again. And the best thing to do is walk out of boss' room and laugh. Lepas tu pretend nothing happened. Tapi bila nampak kepala boss through the cubicle, cuba elak dan lalu jalan lain.

Working sux if you don't have the heart in it, seriously.

Working will sux even more if you don't have a gang. Not that Gangnam Style Oppa Oppah Brotha, no.. Not trying to say that we depend too much on someone that when they go we die, but that's the fact. You gotta find someone yang satu kepala. Sad case is when that person had to leave.

But it's okay. It won't be long, Insha Allah.

We'll see what will transpire in the near future. God bless us all.

Us, pretending to be busy at the photocopy machine.

Us, with Dayanon who's left us for better environment.

Woahh ni aku tak tahan. Muka macam ikan buntal kena pam gas helium tunggu masa nak dilepaskan ke udara. Tolong tampar muka aku. This was Christmas' celebration last year. Kitorang menari banghra (or bangra, or bhangra) ok.

All the best in SG, kak. T___T

The Cave

As I flipped through the Al-Quran last night, and accidentally turned to Page 50, I stopped for a while upon seeing a piece of treasure. Having looked at the handwriting, I instantly recognised it - My late Grandfather's.

It is a 2-sided note, given by him to Mama on her 44th Birthday. Arwah Atok was well-known for his "artistic" value. He loved to cut and paste. He was his own artist, a brainy artist, for his collages mainly revolve around national and international news (apart from Siti Nurhaliza's photos in between).

He was also a meticulous man when it comes to dates. He got this dates written on the note he gave Mama. Hari Lahir 6.4.1962 | Bertunang 15.2.1983 | Kahwin 10.9.1983 | Menyalang 17.9.1983. This was in 2006. Two years before he permanently left us to meet his True Love =')

At the bottom was written a birthday message for Mama.
"Selamat Menyambut H/Lahir ke 44. Didoakan panjang umur murah rezeki bertambah IMAN, BERIKHTIAR dan BERDOA, InsyaAllah maju jaya."

He always had something to say & advise. And he always put it in writing of what he would like to say, on one's birthday for example. He would write his message anywhere he could, even on the back of sampul duit raya. And he loved to give birthday present in form of money, according to one's age :)

I was smiling as I was reading the front part. But as I flipped the note, it got me all teary. Just what I needed, as if he knows. I don't know why I cried so badly last night, perhaps it was more to missing him than this note itself.

I learnt that, through mediocre art can we find cryptic messages of what our soul need. He reminds me that life is not unending. One day I will go to where he's gone. 7 foot down the Earth, buried, leaving behind 3 things which He has mentioned in the Al-Quran. I've learnt as well, that you don't need to be someone fancy in this life. Arwah was a simple man. Very simple, clean, and neat. Just like what the religion require. He must knew well (and believed) that truly, Allah does not look at one's appearance but rather at one's heart.

I pray that Allah grants you Jannatul Firdaus, Atok. Insha Allah :) You were a living example on how a husband/father/grandfather/great grandfather should be. Poor those who failed to study your good traits and apply it in their lives. Poor me too. But I will try, Insha Allah.

Al-Fatihah.

32 days to go, Insha Allah.

Excited and nervous and scared and shy and gelabah and cuak and risau and anxious and all possible synonyms please.

Anyway,

I'm halfway through, Alhamdulillah. And Insha Allah will reach there soon.
