"The best of you, are the ones that is best to his wife"
Repost from Twitter :
Your wife isn't your servant, but your companion. Treat her in the best
possible way. How u can keep a healthy marriage (Insha Allah) :
1. Tell her that you love her regularly. As days go by let your love for
her grow, and don't be ashamed to admit it even in public.
2. Dress up for each other, and look sharp. Islam encourages us to look,
and act our best in front of everyone, especially loved ones.
3. Never demand anything of her. Don't act like you own your wife. Support her as she's your companion.
4. Treat her like the queen she is. Her dad trusts you to treat her right, don't break that privilege.
5. If she wants to work, let her! Don't force her to look after the
kids, let her pursue her dreams & support her in the best possible
way.
6. Do NOT get angry, do NOT get angry, do NOT get angry. This is so important that the prophet (pbuh) repeated it 3 times!
7. Never lay a finger on her. Wallah the man that abuses his wife is cursed. Treat her just like you treat your mother.
8. Don’t act as if you're doing her a favor by providing, Allah is the
Provider, the husband is the carrier of the sustenance to the family.
9. Always listen to her advice. The Prophet listened to the advice of
his wives in matters ranging from the smallest to the greatest.
10. Help her with the household, cooking & mostly importantly pray
together. Make it your sole purpose to end up in Jannah with her.

Allah never created any rules that are meant to cause us hardship. I once read a book (currently reading) (and correct me if I'm wrong) which says that whatever Allah has laid down for us to follow, is meant to ease things for us. Truly, Islam is a simple religion but we are the ones who complicate it by not strictly complying to it.
And truly, how beautiful life would be if everyone follows the rules accordingly.
We always dream of a beautiful life, amazing marriage Insha Allah. And we wonder how do we attain it. And have it ever crossed our minds that ISLAM has provided EVERYTHING related to EVERYTHING in life? Everything, Masha Allah...
And yet, you, me, each one of us, our minds sometimes wandered too far from that fact..
Insha Allah, may He always let us stay on the right track, especially after we have tripped. :)
Wallahu'alam.
